Stacy Abraham is a Nurse Education Specialist at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in the Metro Detroit area. She supports and facilitates shared governance through many opportunities and pathways within the hospital’s staff development department.
Stacy graduated in 2002 from Macomb Community College with her ADN and has since returned as an adjunct nursing clinical instructor. She graduated from University of Phoenix in 2014 with dual master’s degrees, Masters in Science of Nursing and Masters in Business Administration, creating a unique blend of education and leadership skills. Stacy’s clinical background includes critical care, trauma, and cardiovascular surgery on the surgical intensive care unit.
Stacy continues to grow professionally, recently supporting Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in the creation of its first Caring Science unit. While helping to lead the journey to an established and well-functioning shared governance structure she is supported by her Steering Committee and several mentors.
