Robyn Bullock-Hale graduated with a B.S.N. in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University, completed her M.S.N. in nursing leadership and a minor in Teacher Education, and obtained a PhD in nursing with a minor in medical anthropology from Indiana University. She has worked as a nurse, nurse leader, and faculty for 30-plus years in both the USA and India. Robyn served in India as a volunteer nurse/nurse leader for five years with four of the five years spent as a nurse administrator for Emmanuel Hospital Association India from 1999-2003. She continues her volunteer work with EHA India through facilitating and teaching at annual nurse workshops. Robyn also has facilitated and collaborated on nursing research studies and has received grants to support nursing projects in India.
Currently Robyn is the Director of Nursing Excellence and Research/Magnet Program Director at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center with CommonSpirit Health in Phoenix, AZ. She is also an adjunct faculty for National University and teaches in its MSN and doctorate programs.
Robyn is passionate about shared professional governance and the role it plays in improving nursing and patient outcomes. She has been involved extensively in shared professional governance in her various nursing roles, including using the Index of Professional Nursing Governance tool in research studies both in India and the USA.
