Aquiline Chivinge is a nursing leader advancing shared governance and inclusive leadership at Nottingham University Hospitals in the United Kingdom.
Aquiline Chivinge serves as the Clinical Lead for Shared Governance and Inclusive Leadership at Nottingham University Hospitals, Nottingham, UK. Throughout her international career, she initially trained in Africa as a Registered General Nurse and Midwife before moving to Scotland to work and study. After obtaining her Occupational Health Diploma, she then moved to Australia to work and complete her Bachelor of Nursing degree. In 1997, she relocated to Nottingham. She completed her MSc at the University of Nottingham in 2015.

With 24 years of NHS service, Aquiline has progressed to her current role. As a 70@70 Fellow, her responsibilities include building inclusivity and diversity in nursing and midwifery research, along with building research capability and capacity. Furthermore, she works across the organization providing strategic clinical leadership and collaborating with divisions to embed Shared Governance principles and inclusive talent management as the way of doing business at NUH.
In addition, Aquiline contributes to the NUH team supporting the national CNO Shared Governance: Collective Leadership programme.
