Magnet Designation Expertise
Vicki began her association with the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Magnet program appraiser. Over time, she shifted her focus to helping facilities pursue nursing excellence and Magnet designation.
She guides organizations in assessing application readiness and identifying sources of evidence. In this role, she validates how well practices and programs are developed, disseminated, and enculturated within the organization. She also challenges nursing staff to transform their practice through shared governance, peer review, evidence-based practice, and research.
As a result, she has helped more than 58 organizations obtain Magnet recognition. She frequently instructs ANCC’s Journey to Nursing Excellence and Magnet Designation workshop and speaks at the Magnet National Conference.
